AERO: The Cap Where It All Began
Every collection has a starting point. For PĒSU, it's the AERO.
Before there was a range, before there were different models for different kinds of days, there was one cap built around a simple idea: it should keep up with whatever you throw at it. That cap became the AERO, the OG of the PĒSU collection, and it's still the one we reach for first.
Built for Sessions That Don't Go Easy
The AERO was made for intensive use. Think of the gym at six in the morning, a run before work, a padel match that turns into a third set, a tennis court in the afternoon sun, or one of those hybrid training sessions where you run, lift, carry and push through all in the same hour. In moments like these, a cap either disappears on your head or becomes something you keep adjusting. We wanted the first.
That starts with the fabric. The AERO is made from a durable polyester that feels soft and comfortable against the skin, yet is strong and technical enough to handle hard, repeated sessions without losing its character. At just 49 g, it's comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it, and sturdy enough to trust.
Cool, Dry and Secure
When things heat up, the AERO keeps its cool. The mesh side panels let air move through the cap and help with cooling, so your head doesn't turn into a heat trap halfway through a workout. Inside, a moisture-wicking sweatband deals with sweat before it becomes a distraction.
The shape follows the same thinking. The AERO is an 8-panel cap with an unstructured original brim of 7.0 cm, a classic, relaxed shape that stays comfortable over long periods instead of pressing or feeling stiff when you're deep into a session. It comes in one size fits most, and in practice that means it works for nearly everyone. An adjustable buckle strap gives you a secure fit that stays put when the pace goes up, and its minimal closure lets you choose how you wear it: forwards, the way a cap is traditionally worn, or backwards when you want the brim out of the way.
Rinse, Hang, Repeat
The best thing about the AERO's fabric is how easy it is to keep clean. The whole cap can be cleaned, not just parts of it. Our advice is simple: after every intensive workout, match or training, rinse it by hand with water and a mild soap, then hang it up to dry. The material is made for exactly this, so the cap stays fresh, keeps supporting you session after session, and stains don't get the chance to settle in. The fabric is fast drying, so a cap rinsed in the evening is ready to go the following morning.
We advise against the washing machine. The rubber logo is glued on, and the friction inside the drum can make it come loose over time. This goes for all our caps. A hand wash protects the logo, keeps the cap's shape and prevents damage, so it lasts longer and looks better.
More Places Than We Planned
Ask around and you'll find the AERO in more places than we first designed it for. It goes along for running and hiking, to the padel court and the gym, and into Hyrox training. Last summer we also spotted it at festivals, which is a long way from a training session but, honestly, makes perfect sense for a light cap that's comfortable all day. Plenty of people simply wear it as a streetwear cap, because a clean, sporty cap finishes an outfit with just the right touch. That's what makes it our most versatile cap: it doesn't belong to one sport, it belongs to whoever is wearing it.
The AERO is where PĒSU started, and it still means a lot to us. Every cap since has built on what we learned here.
